Strangers Celebrate. Friends Observe.

Strangers are Your True Fans

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

10th JUNE 2024 - SWAG DAILY

Here's the reality..

Don’t count on the people you know to drive your business forward. That’s a trap many fall into. You’re waiting for your close friends and family to buy your stuff, but that’s not how it works. Strangers are the ones who celebrate you. Your family and friends? They’re used to you. This is why so many young entrepreneurs give up—they expect Mum, Sister, Brother, Uncle to be their biggest customers. Stop expecting people who have always seen you as you are, suddenly see you as a Owner of a Company. They’re already employees, they won’t magically change their perspective.

You need to reach out to people who don’t know you. When you do, you’ll see how they cheer you on and support your hustle. Strangers are out there, eager to see what you’ve got. You just need to find them.

Take Melanie Perkins, the co-founder of Canva. Melanie didn’t rely on her friends and family to build her business. She took her vision to strangers and investors who saw her potential. When she started Canva, she wasn't known. Her background was in creating online school yearbooks. She had a passion for making design accessible to everyone, but she didn't wait for her friends and family to champion her cause.

Instead, Melanie pitched her idea to anyone who would listen. She traveled to Silicon Valley, faced countless rejections, but she didn’t give up. She believed in her product and knew that there were strangers out there who would too. Eventually, her persistence paid off. Canva is now a global success, valued at billions and it all started with Melanie refusing to delegate her passion.

The thing with hitting the streets and talking to real businesses is you’ll hear this over and over again. The successful ones didn’t rely on their immediate circle. They went out, networked, hustled and sold their vision to people who had never met them before.

So, SWAG. Your passion is your responsibility. You can’t delegate it. You can’t outsource it.

Don’t wait for your friends and family to push your product. They don’t see your vision and that’s okay. It’s not their job to make your dreams come true. It’s yours. Get out there, find your audience and let your passion shine through to strangers who are eager to support you.

You Gott This!

See you tomorrow
